Put ya back intoit

Alright, so I just f#$ked up my back AGAIN!

I don't get it, I did the usual ritual I would always do the gym: I start off with my stretching and then some cardio before hitting the weights. By the end of it, I was limping out of the gym! It had to be the damm leg presses! SHIEEET!

OMG, i was in so much pain!!! Thank God for painkillers. \P~ Sigh, who else could I blame other than myself, right?

So the goal this week is to see my chiropractor and do some rehab work.

Anyway, besides the fact that I'm walking and acting like an 80-year old, I somehow managed to make my way back to Seremban.

Had to go back cuz I still haven't cleared up my stuff and my parents are moving next weekend!

Yeap, the folks got a new place and are ready to move. They've been busy with the whole new house project for most of the year so I'm sure they're pretty psyched that its almost over.

I was clearing out all my JUNK in my room today and honestly, I realized that I have collected A WHOLLOTTA junk over the years.

Well, there was the stack of "love letters" from girls that I had a crush on or had a crush on me, who, frankly I can't quite remember some of their faces. Does that make me a terrible person??

OOOHHH! I found this baby picture of me. My one year old birthday photo to be exact. I WASN'T a cute baby......But maybe it was all for the better eh? ;)

So all my Jordan posters came down and my comic collection was put into boxes.

Strange......I didn't feel as bummed as I thought I would......I guess I've moved out quite awhile ago.

Spider pig, spider pig.....does whatever a spider pig does....

What a fun week it has been! Can't believe its Friday already (Not that I'm complaining).

I've watched the simpsons movie twice (Premiere and with the boyz yesterday) and its HILARIOUS!

I think Ralph and Wiggum probably had some of the funniest lines in the movie.

And that sooonng......"The spiderpig" song....OMG, I can't get it out of my head.

I was singing it today on the breakfast show during the contest segment. We were giving away Simpsons merchandise plus the simpsons couch! How cool is that!

Ya know, I know some ppl who tell me : "Simpsons???.....Whats so funny? I just don't get it". Now that, I don't get.

Was at the "Sanctuary" out in the Curve for a Smirnoff Vodka party on Thursday. I'm a huge fan of Vodka, so as you can imagine, I DID NOT hold back ;) I was down with the white russians like how MJ is down with the kidzzz man...OW!

I've heard so much about the "Ice bar" at this place and honestly, when I saw it, I wasn't impressed at all. Its like a tiny section hidden at the back of the place.

But then again, it's quite difficult and not very practical to chill a large area of the club down to -15 degree. Great area to cool off when it gets hot out there though.

Fact learned this week: Spain's national anthem does not contain any lyrics.

Wet Weekend.....

Damm there was alot of rain over the weekend.........

I totally missed the 8TV's Wet&Wild party at Sunway. It was just too rainy! Was totally not in the mood for somethin like that when there's no sunshine. Anyhow, still managed to head out later at night with my mate, Alvee. This was Saturday night and Sunday EARLY morning if ya know what i mean. ;)

Sunday just flew by and washed away along with all that rain.

Quite a busy week ahead, but at least it don't start till tuesday for me ;) Don't hate me!!! :p

My eyes are closing and so is this post.....LATERZ

clients worth servicing.......

The Clientele
God Save the Clientele

I love this band! I've never heard of them before this, and somehow I managed to stumble upon them and boy, am I glad that I did! Think of The Monkeys, The beach boys, but made for our generation. Thats pretty much what The Clientele sounds to me. I tend to pop this CD in the player whenever I feel like I need to chill and be happy without getting too excited. Kinda makes me feel like I'm driving by the coast on a breezy, sunny day. Its a great album to just listen to from the beginning till the end. Some of the tracks that stand out are "Here comes the Phantom", "I hope I know" and "Bookshop Cassenova"

This is actually their 4th album and their first one came out way back in 2000. Their currently touring Europe and they'll be heading to Australia and New Zealand pretty soon.

For more info, check out their website: http://www.theclientele.co.uk/

For She's a jolly good fellow.......

Sat night we celebrated Xan's bday at Luna Bar. I was extremely tired( that seems to be the theme huh)after work, but nevertheless, as a friend, I had to pop by to wish her happy bday. I was really surprised that Luna Bar looks so chic now. I haven't been there in ages and the last time i was there, i was doing a show so didn't really pay much attention to the place. Met some of Xan's friends and some of em were quite interesting characters. Got talkin with this couple, both working as photographers, and they were really good company. Maybe its becoz we shared a common "interest" bout stuff that grows from the earth. ;) I think I'll be callin em pretty soon......kekekeke

Peeping Pete!!!! Haven't u seen that before??? Xan!! How could u deprive the man?! :p

UrbanLive@KLCC!!!

As expected, the weekend was SUPER long and really exhausting! The few things that kept me going was the caffeine, the adrenaline rush on stage and the good company. I have to say that the turnout for KLCC crowd was better than I expected. A little strange but in a good way. The only problem I had was the damm mgnt. of the mall! They were really a pain in the ass bout how we couldn't drink at the concourse area and the volume couldn't be "too loud" etc. All these ridiculous rules, I'm like WTF?!! But I didn't let it get to me too much. I still had loads of fun. So next stop.....JB! :/

Chillin out backstage with Jac.......

The NTV7 Crew....Is JP smoochin my boss?!!!

Thats all folks.....Till we meet again in JB in August!

Wake Up! Its Arcade Fire!

Arcade Fire
Neon Bible

Might seem a little Cliche, but I first fell in love with this band when I heard them at a U2 (My first love) concert. U2 had used the track "wake up"from their 2004 debut album, "funeral" as their opening song. "Funeral" was the biggest indie album to come out back in 2004 and both critics and indie fans loved it. Flash forward 2 years, their sophomore album hits the record store with much anticipation and expectation. "Neon Bible" had big shoes to fill.

When I first listened to the album, it definitely strike me as one of those albums that will grow on you in due time. From the opening track "Black Mirror" which sweeps through the stereo like an atomic bomb had just been detonated, to the closing of "My body is a cage", Arcade Fire takes you on a musical journey that is both dark and romantic. There are definitely the more catchy and radio friendly tunes like "Keep the Car Running", "Intervention" and "(AntiChrist Television Blues)
but one of the best tracks on the album for me, would have to be " No Cars Go". This track first appeared in their first EP, a raw and much less produced version. It has a great build up and one of the best climaxes in a song which I haven't heard in songs for a long time. I believe this would be their "Streets have no name" in the future, a staple, uplifting experience that just takes off at live performances.

Essentially, this is an album where the sum is greater than its parts. Although the few potential singles are strong, the album shines to a different level when it is listened as a whole. The song sequence is great but it would have been perfect if it ended with "No Cars Go".

This Meteora Has Crashed.......

Linkin Park
Minutes to Midnight

I actually got this album bout 2 weeks ago, but i just haven't had time to comment on it. First off, like many others out there, I'm a big fan of the last 2 LP albums. Heck, I even joined the LPunderground just so i could meet the band when they were here in KL couple of years back. So here they are, back with their 3rd album, tittled "Minutes to Midnight"

Now I can't say I wasn't expecting the album to be this different, I mean they have hinted awhile back about their change of direction in their music, but this was really a smack in the face. Being a fan, I thought to myself, I need to give it more time and more listening sessions, hoping it would grow on me.

First of all, this is not a strong album. It is NOWHERE near being a great album. Lets dig into it: After 4 years of waiting, this is not the kind of stuff you'd expect from a great band. I mean don't get me wrong, I love the fact that LP, as a band, is evolving, be it the fact that they felt they needed to grow or just the fact that rap-metal is dead, I am excited about the direction that they are heading. But this is now, and there are only a handful of tracks on the album that are worthy of mentioning.

The first single off the album, "What I've done" reminds me alot of "Native Son" by U2, which is a very early cut of "Vertigo". It has alot of potential to be a great song but it just stopped short of that, and became just a reasonably good tune. "Given up" is probably the heaviest and hardest track on the album, which has Chester screaming non-stop at the bridge of the song for well over 18 seconds!

"Bleed it out" and "The little things that give you away" are probably my 2 favourite tracks on the album. One is what LP does best at a more raw level and the other displays alot of potential of what the future LP can bring.

I really think that Mike Shinoda should not have a full-on rap song on an LP album, its just too Fort Minor, and in hip-hop standards, I don't think its good. He should also leave the vocals to Chester. Definitely. So, there ya have it folks, LP with its brand new image. I can't wait for their tours..... Definitely need the lighters coz there's gonna be so many slow songs. Its gonna be interesting to see ppl moshing one minute and then holding hands and waiving the next.

But one thing is for sure.....LP does not have to worry about album sales......which means their pockets will stay fat, and Mr. Hahn is gonna get fatter till he can't move in which he would use it as an excuse not to tour with the band! Lets just hope we don't have to wait another 4 or 5 years for another album.

Its been a long week......

Whoa, its already Friday. Its been a tiring week but I can't say the weekend is gonna be a time for me to relax. Still gotta work through the weekend at KLCC for NTV7's "UrbanLive" Tour. Man, I really dislike the idea of spending the entire weekend couped up in a mall. The only consolation would be the fact that its gonna be lots of fun hangin out with the crew. Oh, I almost forgot, its Xandria's bday on Sunday and I still haven't found her a present! Guess there's another reason for me at the mall tomorrow then.......

Finally.....

Ok, for the longest time, I just kinda avoided writing blogs for many different reasons. But since many of you (my friends) have done so for the longest time and have been buggin (more like beggin....hehehe) me to start one, I thought what better time to do so than now. Things are lookin up these days and I feel like I'm in for one heckof an journey........I'll try to share as much as I possibly can from now on and hopefully, you'll would enjoy it as much as I would ( I'm definitely keeping my fingers crossed on that one ;) ) So wish me luck! And oh yea, HI THERE PPL!!!
